Why is Full HD not available sometimes?
Not every video publishes a maximum-resolution thumbnail. If a Full HD option isn't listed, try the Medium or Small sizes — a smaller thumbnail is always available.
Which videos are supported?
Paste a link to a publicly accessible video from supported public web sources — thumbnails come through in HD, HQ, 1080p and 4K where available. Private or restricted videos can't be used.
Is it legal to download video thumbnails?
You may download thumbnails from publicly available videos for personal or educational use. Thumbnails remain the property of their respective creators, so obtain permission before reusing one, and always follow the platform's Terms of Service.
Can I reuse a thumbnail?
Personal or educational use of public thumbnails is generally fine. Reusing one elsewhere — especially back on the original platform — can raise copyright issues, so ask the original creator for permission first. Using it for websites, logos or design work is usually okay.
Are reused thumbnails SEO-friendly?
Not really. Almost all published thumbnails are already indexed by search engines, so a straight copy reads as duplicate content. Editing one heavily in Photoshop (or similar) to make it visually unique can help, but a fresh original is always best.
Does it work on my device?
Yes — it works on Android phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. iPhones can be more restrictive about saving images due to built-in security settings, so saving may take an extra step there.
