How do I enter the times?
Use minutes and seconds, like 0:45 — or hours for longer videos, like 1:23:10. Just make sure the end time comes after the start.
Will trimming reduce the quality?
No. We stream-copy the original video rather than re-encoding it, so the clip is identical in quality to the source.
Why does the cut sometimes start a moment early?
Fast trimming snaps to the nearest keyframe so it can copy without re-encoding. That can shift the start by a second or two — the trade-off for keeping full quality and speed.
Is there a length limit?
Yes — very long source videos are capped to keep things fast and fair for everyone. If a video is too long, you'll see a note explaining it.
Which videos are supported?
VideoGrab supports selected publicly accessible video links. Private, restricted, DRM-protected or login-required content is not supported. Only use videos you own, openly licensed videos or content you have permission to use.
